One form for every new lead — with notes, landline, WhatsApp, address and an owner from the first minute

The pipeline's quick sheet and the contacts list's new-lead window now share one form and one validation, and take four new fields — notes, landline, WhatsApp number and address — plus a follow-up specialist chosen at the door, who receives the follow-up reminder.

What changed

Adding a lead may be the most ordinary thing a sales team does all day, and until recently it happened in two different ways. The quick sheet on the pipeline asked one set of questions; the new-lead window on the contacts list asked another. Neither had anywhere to put a landline, a WhatsApp number, an address or a few lines about who this person is, so whatever the form never asked for was lost or typed into the customer file later by whoever still remembered it.

Those two forms are now one: the same fields and the same validation, so what is valid on the pipeline is valid on the contacts list. The form also asks for more — notes, a landline, a WhatsApp number and an address. And the part teams asked for most: you choose the follow-up specialist while registering the lead. The lead has its owner from the first minute, and the follow-up reminder goes to that person rather than to whoever typed the row.

How to use it

  1. In the sidebar, under Customers and sales, open Sales pipeline and press Add a lead. The sheet opens above the columns.
  2. Fill in Full name and Phone number, then whichever of Landline (optional), WhatsApp number (optional), Email (optional) and Address (optional) you have.
  3. In Follow-up specialist (optional), pick the colleague who will call. If you are following up yourself, leave it on Keep it with me.
  4. Set the Next follow-up date, change the Starting stage if needed, add a few lines in Notes (optional) and press Create the lead.
  5. The same form lives on Contacts and leads: Add a lead opens Add a lead by hand with the same fields, plus what only that page needs — the source, the opening purchase amount and who the lead is Visible to.

Good to know

  • Next follow-up date is required in both forms and must be today or later — a lead filed with no promised call is the first one to be forgotten.
  • The address is kept per business: when two businesses work the same person, each sees only its own.
  • Landline and WhatsApp numbers can be added or removed later on the customer file with Add a landline and Add a WhatsApp number.
  • Handing the lead to a specialist goes through the same path as every other change of owner, so a receptionist filing a lead for a colleague no longer needs a second step.

Editing a gateway brings its form into view

On Payment gateways, Edit moves the page to that gateway's form, rings it for a moment, and puts the cursor in the first field. On a phone the form used to open off screen.
